Meet Alan Gagliardotto, the Customer Development Specialist at FM Expressions - on the weekends, you can find him going to different music shops to buy, sell, and trade instruments. He calls it guitar safari.
Q: What do you do at FM Expressions?
A: Key Account Management/Customer Development. I work collaboratively with the commercial, marketing, customer experience, and finance teams to develop, refine and manage growth plans including changes to service level, product, pricing, and other options to remove friction and stimulate customer growth!
Q: What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?
A: Time Management! The ability to separate work and home life. Covid-19 has offered an interesting opportunity to work from home, the office and on-the-go. However, the change has proven to be challenging at times.
Q: What energizes you at work?
A: Not only having the opportunity to provide customer satisfaction, but getting to know my customers and building a partnership. That's what gets me going!
Q: How long have you been working here?
A: Coming up on my 7 year anniversary!
Q: What productivity tools do you use?
A: Teams! Internal collaboration is TOPS! The ability to bounce ideas and keep in touch with our team members at the drop of a hat is always helpful.
A: All sorts of stuff! Customer education, market insight and artwork related questions. Relaying the voice of the customer most of all!
Q: How do you prefer to start and end your day?
A: BLASTING punk and metal music on my way in and out of work!! Even when working from home.
A: I'm not a big karaoke fan... However, if my friends somehow gets me to participate, you will most likely see me doing my best Rod Stewart impression.
Q: What’s your favorite sport to watch and which team do you root for?
A: HOCKEY! I love to watch my favorite team, The NJ Devils. You will also catch me on the ice with my hometown friends every Christmas Eve!
Q: What’s your favorite TV show—the one you’re always watching on repeat?
A: So many, but my go-to is The Simpsons.
